WUAW (88.3 FM) is a 3,000-watt educational, non-commercial radio station that is owned by Central Carolina Community College as part of its Audio and Video Production Technology (formerly Broadcasting & Production Technology) program.
WUAW has an eclectic format that features contemporary hit radio (Top-40), rock and urban music. It also promotes school as well as community events and airs public service announcements.
The station serves the Erwin, Coats and Dunn listening areas. Its signal extends approximately 35 miles and reaches parts of Cumberland, Johnston, Lee, Sampson and Wake counties.
